Montessori Aproaches
The earliest years of a child’s life matter – and not just a little.
The preschool years are profoundly important in a life-changing way because they form the foundation of a child’s further development and growth, both intellectually and socially. They literally set the stage for how a child’s character and education will play out in the grand narrative of life. Choosing the right daycare for your child will help establish the solid foundation he or she needs in order to flourish.
Montessori approaches to education have been helping children thrive for more than 100 years. Dr. Maria Montessori, who was the very first female physician in Italy, established her first preschool in a working-class, underprivileged community in Rome. Her Casa Dei Bambini or Children’s House soon saw the children attending it outperforming the more privileged children in the academic assessments of elementary schools – and people noticed. This is why Montessori daycares and schools can be found all over the world today, nurturing children from birth through adolescence.
Nature House, previously Zonnekind, is the first Montessori Daycare in Aruba. We are the only daycare on the island that incorporates the Montessori materials, activities and methods that have proven to be so effective over the years and offer them for children starting age one.
We have a nurturing environment for one year old children, two to four year old children and we also offer an Early Childhood After School Program for children four to six years old. The primary language spoken in our daycare is Dutch.
